Clothes of Naruto OCs...

Now it is time to RANT! But first, let the characters speak.

The blonde: Hello! My name is Maarii Suu, and I'm going to help your team!
Gai: ...there must be a mistake...
Neji: What is that? Is it even a human?
Tenten: What a bitch. She wouldn't use those clothes if she would travel through forests...
Lee: HELP! Gai-sensei, help! I saw her panties! What should I do?!

No, this time I'm not talking about Mary Sues. Something that terrible, however. And this is not the problem of just Mary Sues (though it's common within them, too).

When browsing Naruto OCs, I've get fed up with those OCs with MODERN CLOTHES! It seems like those people can't tell apart the dressing culture of Narutoversum from the one of out world! They just dress their characters in the way that is fancy just in our world! In the world of the series, those model geeks would seem just creepy... It's true that many Naruto characters are shown in t-shirt or even in bikini, but still there is grave differences in the cultures. For example, have you seen any pair of sneakers in Naruto? Frilled skirts? Loafers? Pocket chains? I've not.

In my opinion, there is two heaviest nonononoes when creating the look of a Naruto shinobi OC...

1. The clothes should be usable when playing ninja. Frilled dresses are not that.

2. THE SHOES! The greatest scarlet thread in Kishimoto's designs are the shoes. Expect some veeeery few exceptions (like Gatou and the work men under Tazuna), no character in Naruto wears eny else footwear than a) toeless shinobi shoes b) traditional Japanese sandals c) bare feet. No sneakers, loafers, killing heels. Sorry.
