Naruto Eyes by NuttyNuti Naruto Eyes by NuttyNuti
I tested some photo-manipulation with GIMP, and it resulted to these eye images. Let's check them step-to-step.

* Gaara's eye: The first one I made. The original photo ( [link] ) is from :iconeyestock:

* Naruto's Sage Mode eye: Yeah, it looks a little frightened, but I wanted a eye from the same head that the Kyuubi eye (see below). The original photo ( [link] ) is from :iconbobbistock:

* Sharingan, probably Itachi's one: At first I tried to do Itachi's Mangekyou Sharingan, but it was too difficult to make to look good. The original photo ( [link] ) is from :iconmongrel-stock:

* Byakugan, probably Hiashi's one: Not bad, neither not extremely good. The original photo ( [link] ) is from :iconwolfwindstock:

* Pain's Rinnegan: This took time! Particularly these circles... The original photo ( [link] ) is from :iconeyestock:

* Naruto's Demon Fox eye: I didn't use in this "tinting layer" because I wanted to make the picture cold. The original photo ( [link] ) is from :iconbobbistock:

* Inuzuka eyes, probably Tsume's ones: In this I selected picture which two eyes, because... it looked just good. The original photo ( [link] ) is from :iconshakealicious:

Thanks to the people that provided those photos here! :D I'll send to them credits.

The Naruto series and its characters belong to Masashi Kishimoto.
The original photos belong to the people I mentioned above.
The photomanipulating belongs to me.

E: A user asked how I did them. I'll copy my explanation here...

"I did them myself. I didn't use any tutorial.

Well, I can submit a mini tutorial here...

You need a image program that is mode developed than MS Paint (layers are needed). And a photo of an eye. If you create a dark special eye, use dark-eyed photo, and if you use light eye, use light-eyed photo. It eases a lot.

As example I tell how I create the Sharingan Eye (it was simpliest):

1. First, put the eye (I used dark-eyed one) as background layer and create a new (invisible) layer on it (let's call it Layer A). Paint on that layer, for example, color to that you want to turn the eye. In that case, red.

2. Then an IMPORTANT NOTE: Adjust the translucency of the Layer A. Make both the added color and the structure of the original eye visible (translucency of 30-70% is okay).

3. Make the red area to cover only the iris of the eye using the eraser and the brush. Be accurate and zoom when it necesasary!

4. Then add another layer on the Background Layer and Layer A (let's call it Layer B). Paint on Layer B the tomoes (black dots on Sharingan) using the brush again. Adjust again the translucency.

Voilá, ready. If you think that the tone of the skin is wrong, you can make a new layer, fill it with wanted color and adjust its translucency VERY minimal (0-20%, you can erase the toning color away from the eye).

The most important rule when editing eyes is naturality: make the color areas follow the natural shaped of the face. And use translucency a lot. Smudging tool is good when making soft movings from color area to another."

the byakugan ones are epic! I had contacts like that... too freaking bad they got lost... probably swept up. The Hinata/Neji contacts are really hard to put it without stabbing your eye with your finger.

Thanks! I've also thought to cosplay Neji a day, but those contacts are problem, though I have no problems with normal contacts (I usually use glasses). First, I don't want to be blind, but neither I want contacts with creepy holes that makes your eyes looks anything but Byakugan. Second, if you are rather badly myopic (like I am), you have to buy special contacts to even see around you!

Ah... the holes in the middle of the contacts arent always important but if that's the case then they might be needed... I had byakugan contacts without the holes, same with Gaara's eyes. I hated Gaara's eyes because those for some effed up reason were really hard to see out of. It also depends on who is selling the contacts. that 1800CONTACTS is where I used to get the Byakugan ones... i dont know if they still do that though

I wouldn't like contacts making you not to see. I generally hate walking around blind-folded, so that's why. The best Byakugan option I've seen thus far is this: [link] There is a hole, but since the eye is the activated Byakugan mode, it doesn't look that creepy than when trying to imitate all-white eye. Also, here is powers... and lots of price D:

DAMN!! What price was that?! That's alot more than what I paid for mine... mine were the regular and I could see just fine. It helped that there were some transparent holes. Everything was dyed a lavender color but i could see fine... I wish i could upload the pictures but i lost the camera that had the film...

Sounds nice, at least I has fun when cosplaying my first time (as Inuzuka Hana, Kiba's big sis)! I'm also willing to cosplay the Kid-Neji (13-14 years old one), but the problem is the eyes. The proper Byakugan effect would need all-white contacts, but you can't see through that kind of contact 'cos there is no transparent hole for seeing! And the white contacts with "hole" seems just creepy... o.O' More Kiba-like than Hyuuga-like.

(To be exact, cosplaying and role playing are different issues. Cosplaying means putting costume of a certain character and hanging around. Role playing is acting as a character, like acting in improvisation theater.)

No Mangekyou D: I have tis character who has tracked down Gaara, Neji, Itachi's body, Jiraiyas body, that dude who has part of Kyuubi in him but not all(not Naruto), Pein's body, and Kiba and taken the eyes from them to make an Omnaragan, a legendary eye that the Sage of The Six Paths himself didn't know about. My characters name is: Konohamaru no just kidding its Kiromaki Okiman, and i need Mangekyou Sharingan. Kiromaki has every special eye in the naruto series. Omnaragan can be turned on and off like most of the eyes that make it and Kiromaki can also use ALL of their powers ;D

To be honest, I wouldn't like to give you use them. The reasons:

1. I've never like to give my works for further editing (if I made bases or stuff, that'd be different), since it makes me feel... ummm, that someone takes some pride from me, thought they would credit me and this work properly. Legally, it is okay to use picture when you ask the permission and credit the original creator, but still I don't like the editing, so I don't want to give a permission. It feels like the borrower cheats or something, with not making the work totally (or mostly) by themselves.

2. This is already made on works of other people, though those stock images are meant to editing of other people. But "taking pride from other people" (see above) twice is something I don't like!

3. I don't believe that you draw in the same way that I do. Honestly, mixing two very different drawing styles on the same work seems horrible, and I don't want that that happens to my works.

But if you have some kind of photo editing program (Photoshop, GIMP...), there is a mini tutorial of making the eyes :) Think of it: it'd be five times cooler if you make your own eyes by yourself!

Oh, and VERY VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT NOTE!

When you use photos taken by other people, you HAVE TO TELL tha original takers of them. dA is a kinda good source of usable photos (so called stock photos). Always when using a stock photo, read ALWAYS what the photographer has said about using the photo (can you use it without permission jne). Normally you have to link to the site of the photo and to the homapage of the photographer.

Also, it is polite to tell to the photographer about your photomanipulation :) It may be that (s)he want to see what is made of her/his photo.

No voi pöh... enpä moista äkännyt. *menee kumittamaan*
